Who is Elite Wheels?
Elitewheels is a Chinese brand specializing in the design and manufacture of bicycle wheels
Unlike others, Elitewheels does not just assemble components; all stages (rims, hubs, spokes, complete wheels) are designed and manufactured in their factory, which allows for better cost control.
Price of the Elitewheels Edge pair
I am not going to beat around the bush, as you know, the price is very attractive so I will start with that before talking about the wheels.
The price breaks down according to different choices:
- The bearing type
- The rim depth
- The hub
- and delivery
Elitewheels kept it quite simple, the price only changes depending on the type of bearing (+€35), however, shipping costs are often not included in the total price.
So the pair comes out (December 2025, excluding promotions) to €607 with steel bearings and €643 with ceramic bearings
Shipping costs are to be added for about €80. With this type of shipping, Elitewheels offers a delivery time of 14 days, which according to them, has no customs duties to pay afterwards. Don't ask me how they do it because I don't want to answer that 😉
Total Rate:
687€
Elitewheels also offers discounts to potential buyers. If your cart is over 589€, you can get 80€ off. Not bad. I have attached a screenshot of the current offer; you need to check under the AliExpress listing to see if the promotions are still there.

The pair of wheels
The Elitewheels EDGE wheelset is designed to offer lightness, rigidity, and versatility. According to the specifications generally associated with similar models from the brand: 700C rims compatible with standard tires or Tubeless, which offers the flexibility to choose a “tire + inner tube” or “tubeless tire” setup depending on the level of risk you want to take! (I'm on Team Tire and Inner Tube for the road and Tubeless for gravel)
It features a carbon rim with an aerodynamic profile that you can select when ordering. Depending on your preference, the wheel can be made more or less responsive, faster or slower, but the performance will always be good.
You can order the wheelset with 40mm, 45mm, 50mm or 65mm rims.
For your information:
40mm
Lighter, it will be better on climbs and rolling terrain.
More stable in crosswinds
Easier to control.
More comfortable because it will absorb vibrations better.
45mm or 50mm
Quite aero
Reasonable weight
Very versatile
Usable in all conditions
65mm
Super aerodynamic
Better speed maintenance
Ideal for long straightaways, time trials, and rolling courses.
Higher lateral rigidity
⇒ better feel during powerful acceleration.
The right pair of wheels will above all be a choice based on your usage and aesthetic tastes.
Weight & handling: the wheelset remains in a competitive weight range
What is it for?
As discussed above, there are 4 rim depths. This depth will allow for an initial selection.
If your use is for sports, you will need to choose the 50mm or the 60mm in case of a time trial during the year.
If you are more of a mountain biking type, then the 40mm is the most suitable.
If you want versatility, then get the 45mm.
And if you ever want to put wider tires on your gravel bike, you can fit tires up to 43c. I find that this makes it suitable for any short gravel ride or tour. So, in addition to being suited for road racing, it will also be suited for cyclocross or gravel riding.
Pair characteristic

As you can see, the wheel components are custom-made by Elitewheels, from the rim to the hub as well as the spokes.

Online reviews of this pair
Here is what seems to be the most consistent test in my opinion, the YouTuber purchased a pair of wheels from the same brand but not the same model. I'm not going to copy his argument, but to summarize, they compete with wheels 4 times more expensive.
