Master the road and the trails with the Elves Mori AEROX: Uncompromising speed

The Elves Mori AEROX redefines the standards of modern gravel riding by injecting the aerodynamic expertise that made the brand successful on the road. Built from high-end Toray T800 and T1000 carbon fibers using an advanced molding method (EPS + latex bladder), this frame offers maximum lateral stiffness for explosive accelerations while maintaining a particularly well-controlled weight.

The design of the Mori AEROX integrates fully internal cable routing, compatible with electronic (Di2 and eTap) and mechanical drivetrains, for an exceptionally clean cockpit. Built to slice through the air, it adopts a resolutely aggressive «Pro» geometry, complemented by an optimized fork angle and a carefully engineered rake to maintain excellent stability at high speeds, even when the terrain gets technical. Whether you are chasing KOMs/QOMs or are a fan of ultra-distance gravel events, this frame is a precision weapon designed to turn every watt into pure speed.

Aerodynamics and Pro Geometry: Designed using the brand's road bike aero profiles, the frame features fluid lines and a truncated tube profile. The geometry presents very aggressive Stack and Reach ratios for a gravel bike, forcing an aerodynamic and low riding position.

Modern standards and transmission versatility: Equipped with a T47 threaded bottom bracket (85.5 mm width) appreciated for its durability and lack of creaking. It features a SRAM UDH universal derailleur hanger, making replacements easy when traveling, and accommodates a 1-x (Single) chainring up to 48T maximum.

Tire clearance: It accepts widths up to 700c x 45mm or 650b x 50mm, offering the perfect balance of speed on asphalt and grip on dirt or gravel.

Aesthetic customization: Elves offers 7 elaborate factory colors (chameleon finishes, glitter, etc.) but also provides the option to fully customize the paint colors when ordering.

Weight of the frame alone (unpainted): Approximately 1,080 g in size 56.

(Note: Complete high-end builds observed in the community drop below the 7.45 kg mark without pedals).

My review of the seller

Elves Bike is establishing itself as a "high-end generic" brand of Chinese origin, which has nevertheless managed to build a genuine global distribution network. Unlike traditional, faceless Asian manufacturers, Elves has regional sales representatives (Australia, Europe, United Kingdom). It is a serious company that actively seeks to shake up the market by offering a very attractive quality-price/performance ratio, backed by international certifications (UCI, ISO).

The seller's reassuring points: A structured and certified service

  • 5-year manufacturer's warranty: A very solid guarantee of trust in the carbon frame market.

  • Official approvals: The framework is approved by’UCI for the competition, and meets the demanding safety standards EN 14766 and ISO 4210-6:2023.

  • Presence of regional supports: The brand has local official agents. Users (in particular on Chinatown) highlight the high responsiveness of customer support, which is easily reachable and very friendly, notably via WhatsApp.

  • Quality of finishes: The delivery boxes and packaging are described as premium, and the factory paint finishes receive excellent feedback for their durability and brilliance.

Points of attention regarding the seller: What to know before buying

  • Limited physical network in France: There is not yet a network of physical bicycle repair shops or a strongly established exclusive distributor in France. Purchases are made mainly online or via specialized importers.

  • Import costs and logistics: Depending on the seller you use, make sure to check whether customs duties (VAT) and shipping fees are included in the displayed price to avoid any surprises upon delivery.

Who is this Elves Mori gravel bike for?

The Elves Mori AEROX is aimed first and foremost at competitive cyclists, time-trial chasers, and «Race Gravel» enthusiasts. It is perfect for those coming from the road who are looking for a bike to venture onto trails without losing their aggressive position and usual performance. It will also be wonderfully suited for ultra-distance style gravel events on fast tracks. On the other hand, its demanding geometry makes it less suitable for beginners looking for an upright and ultra-comfortable position, or for fans of heavy bikepacking requiring countless mounting eyelets.

My product review

The Elves Mori AEROX fulfills its mission perfectly: offering a pro-level aero gravel bike at a fraction of the price of major Western brands. The frame's handling is stiff, responsive, and built for pure speed. It is an excellent choice for passionate cyclists who want to build their bike custom by carefully choosing their components, all while enjoying a striking look and unique colorways.

Its force majeure

  • Exceptional stiffness-to-weight-to-price ratio: The use of T800/T1000 carbon offers performance worthy of frames sold for two to three times the price.

  • Look and total integration: Fully internal cable routing and the aero carbon seatpost give the bike an ultra-modern, sleek aesthetic.

  • Paint customization: A magnificent original color catalog with a custom paint option.

  • Reliable technical details: Integration of the T47 bottom bracket standard (threaded) and the SRAM UDH universal derailleur hanger.

The limits to take into account

  • Very exclusive geometry: The Stack bottom and the Reach make the bike very race-oriented; some users on forums consider the position «extreme» or too demanding for leisure gravel riding on larger sizes.

  • Clearance limited to 45 mm: Although sufficient for the majority of race courses, some competitors now offer greater clearance (up to 50 mm in 700c) for very rough terrain.

  • Editing adjustments: As is often the case with frames featuring fully integrated cable routing purchased as a frameset, user reviews on Reddit note that meticulous assembly is required (for example, adjusting the front derailleur height according to the size of the chosen chainrings).
