Avec la G25 SL, ICAN<\/span><\/span> pousse un peu plus loin la logique de sa plateforme G25, d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien install\u00e9e sur le segment gravel performance. L\u2019objectif est clair : all\u00e9ger sans affaiblir. Sur le papier, la promesse est simple \u2014 environ 100 grammes gagn\u00e9s \u2014 mais sur le terrain, ce type d\u2019\u00e9volution peut r\u00e9ellement transformer le comportement d\u2019une roue, notamment en relance et sur les longues sorties.<\/p>\n

Conception et technologies<\/strong>
Le c\u0153ur de cette \u00e9volution repose sur un travail en profondeur du layup carbone. ICAN annonce une superposition optimis\u00e9e qui permet de r\u00e9duire la masse tout en conservant une bonne r\u00e9sistance aux impacts. Concr\u00e8tement, cela donne une jante plus fine, plus dynamique, mais qui ne se d\u00e9robe pas d\u00e8s que le terrain devient cassant. Un point important en gravel, o\u00f9 le compromis entre l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 et robustesse reste toujours d\u00e9licat.<\/p>\n

Les moyeux D91 marquent \u00e9galement une vraie progression. Avec leur syst\u00e8me \u00e0 rochet \u00e9toil\u00e9 45 dents, ils offrent un engagement plus rapide et plus constant que les anciennes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations \u00e0 cliquets. \u00c0 l\u2019usage, cela se traduit par une transmission plus directe, notamment dans les relances en sortie de virage ou sur terrain vallonn\u00e9. Le travail d\u2019all\u00e8gement est aussi notable, avec un gain d\u2019environ 90 g par rapport aux anciens D21 \u2014 un d\u00e9tail sur le papier, mais qui participe \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quilibre global de la roue.<\/p>\n

Le montage s\u2019appuie sur les rayons Sapim<\/span><\/span> CX-Ray, un choix presque incontournable \u00e0 ce niveau. Leur profil plat limite la tra\u00een\u00e9e et contribue \u00e0 maintenir un bon niveau de rigidit\u00e9 sans p\u00e9naliser le poids. Associ\u00e9s aux \u00e9crous Secure-Lock, ils assurent aussi une bonne tenue dans le temps, m\u00eame sur des terrains vibrants.<\/p>\n

Comportement et profil<\/strong>
Avec une jante de 50 mm de hauteur et 25 mm de largeur interne, la G25 SL assume un positionnement assez engag\u00e9 pour du gravel. On est clairement sur une roue pens\u00e9e pour rouler vite, avec un vrai b\u00e9n\u00e9fice a\u00e9rodynamique sur les portions roulantes. En parall\u00e8le, le profil \u00e0 crochet s\u00e9curise le montage tubeless et am\u00e9liore le maintien du pneu, notamment \u00e0 basse pression.<\/p>\n

La compatibilit\u00e9 est large, avec une plage recommand\u00e9e de 35 \u00e0 50 mm, mais la jante accepte sans difficult\u00e9 des sections allant de 29 \u00e0 60 mm. De quoi adapter le comportement selon le terrain, du gravel roulant aux parcours plus techniques.<\/p>\n

Impression g\u00e9n\u00e9rale<\/strong>
Ce qui ressort surtout, c\u2019est la coh\u00e9rence de l\u2019ensemble. L\u2019all\u00e8gement ne repose pas sur un seul \u00e9l\u00e9ment, mais sur un travail global : jante, moyeux et rayons \u00e9voluent dans le m\u00eame sens. R\u00e9sultat, la G25 SL gagne en vivacit\u00e9 sans perdre en stabilit\u00e9. Elle reste toutefois typ\u00e9e performance : les pratiquants \u00e0 la recherche de confort maximal ou de tol\u00e9rance extr\u00eame pr\u00e9f\u00e9reront peut-\u00eatre des profils plus bas. Mais pour ceux qui veulent une roue gravel rapide, nerveuse et capable d\u2019encaisser, le compromis est particuli\u00e8rement bien trouv\u00e9.<\/p>\n
